Nana Nketia Wins Herbal Advocate of the Year at 2024 Ghana Leadership Awards.


Accra: The Ghana Leadership Awards 2024 celebrated the contributions of outstanding individuals who have dedicated their lives to positively impacting their communities. Among the honorees was Nana Nketia, who was recognized as the Herbal Advocate of the Year, a testament to his unwavering commitment to natural healing, sustainable agriculture, and community empowerment.

According to Ghana News Agency, in presenting the award, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Yao Nash highlighted Nana Nketia’s efforts and urged more Ghanaians to be committed to good causes that can bring transformation within their communities. Nana Nketia, a natural healer, environmentalist, and advocate for organic agriculture, began his herbal practice in Tema, Ghana, in 2003. Over the years, he has provided healing solutions to numerous ailments through the innovative use of natural spices, foods, and herbs.

His advocacy has brought transformative changes in both healthcare and agriculture, promoting certified organic practices and encouraging hospi
tals to prescribe approved herbal products for treatment. Through his impactful campaigns, Nana Nketia made healthcare more accessible, inspiring several private hospitals to reduce the cost of surgeries and other medical services. He has also engaged governments, trained farmers, and collaborated with institutions to promote organic farming practices and environmental stewardship.

Nana Nketia serves as an image Ambassador for the African Chamber of Content Producers and as an African Developmental Chief, roles that underscore his influence in advancing sustainable practices across the continent. As a frequent guest on radio and television platforms, he advocates responsible farming, environmental conservation, and human-centered policies, earning him a reputation as a champion for both people and the planet.

According to Nana Nketia’s team, in addition to his advocacy, Nana Nketia supplies affordable and effective organic inputs to farmers, helping to boost agricultural productivity. He is also a land recl
amation consultant, working to restore lands degraded by mining activities. During his acceptance speech, Nana Nketia expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that the award marks a new chapter in his mission to revolutionize the herbal and organic industry in Africa. “This award presents a challenge for me to make an even bigger difference,” he said.

He called on philanthropists and investors to support his initiatives to heal the land and its people, emphasizing his vision of empowering Africans and fostering environmental sustainability. The President of the African Chamber of Content Producers, Nana Dwomoh-Doyen Benjamin, congratulated Nana Nketia, commending his immense contributions to Ghana’s development. “Nana Nketia is an inspiration. His selflessness and dedication are exemplary, and this award is well-deserved,” he said.
