North Tongu: The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) and the Inter-Party Dialogue Committee (IPDC) in North Tongu recently organized a friendly football match among political parties at Manya D.A Basic School. This initiative aimed to promote unity, peace, and democratic cohesion among the political parties.
According to Ghana News Agency, the non-competitive game brought together representatives from the Ghana Union Movement (GUM), National Democratic Congress (NDC), and other parties. Mr. Daniel Glikpo, the NCCE District Director, emphasized the dangers of disinformation, misinformation, and vote-buying, urging the youth to remain vigilant and ensure responsible leadership. “You are the future of the country. It is necessary that you avoid any form of violence during our elections to ensure that we all enjoy the peace we always want,” he stated.
Togbi Tsatron, the IPDC Chairman, encouraged the youths to resist manipulation and promote peace before, during, and after the elections. The football
match was well-received, with youths requesting similar initiatives.
