Tunisia knocked out of 25th IHF Men’s World Championship

Egypt will be the only African representative at the of the 25th IHF Men’s World Championship held in France after Tunisia and Angola’s elimination following the results of Thursday’s games.

After conceding defeat to Macedonia (30-34) and Spain (21-26) and making two draw with Iceland (22-22) and Slovenia (28-28), Tunisia was hoping to qualify after easily defeating Angola (43-34) on Thursday yet Iceland made a draw with Macedonia (27-27) and consequently Tunisia was eliminated ranking 5th in group B.

Tunisia and Angola will move on to the International Handball Federation President’s Cup where the 5ths will compete in the semifinal and the final for the 17 to 20 places, the 6ths for the 21 to 24 places.
