A Young girl aboard a vehicle near a military operation zone in Jebel Selloum, Kasserine, was wounded by ricochet of a bullet in the right leg, Wednesday, by members of the army.
According to spokesperson of the National Defence Ministry, Lieutenant colonel Belhassan Oueslati, the soldiers were conducting searching operation in an area where clashes took place with terrorists when a vehicle stopped closely.
The driver who was accompanied by two others including the young girl, turned off the engine and the headlights of the vehicle.
When the soldiers came closer to check the identity of the passengers, the driver restarted the car and fled, refusing to comply despite the warning shots. The soldiers then shot the tires, wounding by a bullet ricochet the young girl who was taken to hospital of the region, according to the same source.
The Ministry of Defence called anew on the citizens to avoid driving, for their security, in the military operation areas as well as in closed military zones
