Tunisia’s Inter-professional Fruit Group (GIFruits) is organising next May 27 an event to showcase the country’s early fruits on the celebration of Tunisia’s Day at Expo Milano 2015.
The objective is to promote Tunisian fruits, particularly quality and competitive early fruits that mature two weeks before those of European countries, according to Director General of GIFruits Mohamed Ali Jendoubi.
The aim is also to publicise Tunisian agricultural products, particularly those sought by export markets.
Jendoubi noted that 2 tonnes of early products were sent to be showcased at the Tunisian stand in Expo Milano. They include, peaches, watermelon, nectarine, apricots, oranges and lemon, adding that tasting will be organised for visitors of the Tunisian stand.
