The Independent Higher Authority for the Election (ISIE) announced, on Saturday, in a statement, that the registration of voters for the 2014 electoral events will start next Monday.
ISIE President Chafik Sarsar will kick off the voter registration on Monday at 9 a.m. during a ceremony in Habib Bourguiba Avenue, in Tunis.
A source within the ISIE specified that about 4 million additional voters are not yet registered, according to the last statistics available, while nearly 4 million voters registered had voted during the October 23, 2011 poll.
The authority will organise on this occasion an animation day in Habib Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The ISIE announced, Thursday, the establishment of a call centre to inform the public on the registration modalities on the voters’ lists, as well as on the progress of the vote, the location of the centres and the ISIE.
