A 13-year-old child was killed Sunday in a fire that broke out in a building in Houmet Trabelsia (Monastir), said local internal security forces union official Achraf Ben Said said.
Firefighters failed to rescue the child who was caught in the blaze. The child died from third-degree burns and lack of oxygen, the same source added.
