20th Arab athletics championship: Tunisia totals 10 medals, including 4 gold

Tunisia ranks second at the 20th Arab athletics championship organised July 16-18 in Rades, totalling 10 medals (4 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze).

Morocco is leading with 14 medals (6 gold, 6 silver 2 bronze) and Algeria occupies third place with 10 medals (4 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze).

At day 2, Tunisian athletes won two gold medals, 5 silver and 2 bronze.

The gold medals went to Habiba Gheriba (3000m steeple: 9’20 “00) and Nada Chroudi (heptathlon 5,029 points), the silver medals to Nabiha Gaddah (record: 29m90), Haifa Tarchoun (800m 2’17 “04), Salima Ghannay (heptathlon: 3947 pts), Mohamed Amine Romdhana (pole: 5m20) and Ramy Gharsalli (110 m hurdles: 14 “23).

The bronze medals were won by Majdi Chahata (perch: 4m80), Khouloud Haddadi (100 hedges 17 “57)
