29th Arab Summit: Caid Essebsi reitrates Tunisia’s condemnation of missile attacks against Saudi Arabia

President Beji Caid Essebsi met on Sunday with Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the fringes of the 29th Arab Summit in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

The meeting turned notably on the privileged relations and co-operation between the two countries, the latest developments in the region and the outcome of the Dhahran Summit, said Diplomatic Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic Abdelkarim Hermi.

The President of the Republic congratulated King Salman on the success of the summit, pointing out the key role that Saudi Arabia has constantly played in defending the just Arab causes, with the Palestinian cause on top.

He also voiced satisfaction at the reinforcement of ties and visits’ exchange between both countries, commending Saudi Arabia’s support to Tunisia in boosting its development process.

Besides, Caid Essebsi reiterated Tunisia’s condemnation of missile attacks against Saudi Arabia and keenness to preserve the security of the kingdom and the integrity of its territory.

Saudi Arabia’s king affirmed for his part his feelings of consideration for Tunisia and its people, pointing out the need to develop bilateral relations and the kingdom’s commitment to boost co-operation and support Tunisia in facing posed challenges.

Salman Ben Abdulaziz commended Tunisia’s position and its solidarity with Saudi Arabia against the missile attacks, expressing wishes on the occasion to Tunisian people for further stability and progress.
