4,216 young people belonging to 5 training centres have benefited from the training in 170 economic enterprises, as part of the implementation of the second phase of the project “a partnership for vocational training in Tunisia” initiated by the Tunisian agency of vocational training in coordination with the organization of training for the Bavarian employers (Germany), said Thursday Representative of this organisation Hamdi Jamil Mesbahi.
Mesbahi said in a statement to TAP, on the sidelines of a study day held in Tunis that the second phase of this project (January 2019-December 2021), allowed young learners to benefit from training in alternating economic partner companies in 27 specialities in the industrial sector.
According to manager at the Tunisian Agency for vocational training Salah Messaoudi the project “Partnership for vocational training in Tunisia”, aims to promote the employability of graduates of vocational training centres through the consolidation of the partnership between training centres and economic enterprises.
He added that the 4,216 learners will have employment opportunities as they were trained in sectors tailored to the requirements of the labour market and acquired experience in economic enterprises during the training period.
For his part, Director-General of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training Mounir Dakhli stressed the success of this cooperation with the organisation of training for the Bavarian employers, “especially since this project aims to adapt vocational training to the needs of the labour market to raise the employability of young learners,” he noted.
The first phase of the project “A partnership for vocational training in Tunisia” was held during the period between 2013 and 2016 with the participation of 400 learners.
