TIANJIN: The 4th 'Chinese Bridge' Chinese Show for Foreign Primary School Students concluded its finals at the Media Theater of Tianjin Television Station, drawing participation from young contestants worldwide. The event, graced by officials from the Tianjin Municipal Government and the Ministry of Education's Center for Language Education and Cooperation, celebrated international cultural exchange and the participants' learning experiences in China. According to Ghana News Agency, the finals featured three rounds of competition: the 'Magical Supermarket Challenge,' the 'Transformative Light and Shadow Challenge,' and 'Talking with Sister Moon.' These activities tested the students' mastery of the Chinese language and culture, their expressive and application skills, and their ability to summarize and convey information effectively. The stage setting, adorned with toys and play equipment, provided a relaxed environment for the young contestants. During the 'Magical Supermarket Challenge,' participants sele cted items based on specific criteria and presented impromptu explanations. The 'Transformative Light and Shadow Challenge' required them to provide voiceovers for classic Chinese cartoons, working in groups to bring characters to life. In 'Talking with Sister Moon,' contestants shared knowledge from courses they experienced in Chinese schools, spanning disciplines such as sports, music, handicrafts, science, and recitation. The competition concluded with Solo Uniacke from the UK being crowned the global champion and the European champion. Other regional champions included Malaysia's Yu Xuan Jannice Tsen for Asia, Cameroon's Naomie Tamany Ngongang Fando for Africa, the United States' Sam Paul Fine for the Americas, and New Zealand's Munotidaishe Saruwaka for Oceania. Throughout the event, students from various countries formed lasting friendships, culminating in a united performance of the 'Chinese Bridge' theme song, which marked a celebratory end to the finals.
