8.425 MD contract between Sfax Metro Company and SYSTRA-STUDI group signed

The Sfax Metro Company has signed a contract with a group of Tunisian-French consultants SYSTRA-STUDI for a value of 8.425 million dinars in order to conduct the preliminary studies and complete tender documents relating to the first part of the Greater Sfax metro (T1) line.

The company also signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the National Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC) as part of the monitoring provided by the authority for the company’s activities.

The studies of the first part of the T1 metro line involve a 13.5-kilometer section linking the airport to the Chihia region via the Tanyour road, the Martyrs Avenue, the Soukra region and the Lahbib district as well as the creation of a multimodal transport station near the current metro station.

These studies also concern the connection from the city centre to the Taparura region.

The second section of this line will extend to the El-Ons district in Sakiet Ezzit.
