Abbas hails Tunisia’s hospitality towards Palestinians

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas hailed Friday Tunisia’s hospitality towards Palestinians at a time when all doors were shut in front of them.

Tunisia offered hospitality and welcomed Palestinians who have always considered themselves at home, he added in a statement to the press at the end of his meeting with House of the Peoples’ Representative (HPR) Speaker Mohamed Ennaceur.

The Palestinian President voiced satisfaction at his visit to Tunisia which offered the opportunity to meet with Tunisian senior officials.

In another connection, Abass voiced satisfaction at the Palestinians’ diplomatic victory after the decision to list the cities of Al Khalil and Ibrahim mosque as UNESCO World Heritage, notably against the strong pressures exerted by the occupying State and the United States of America on voting countries.

The Palestinian President is in Tunisia, July 6-8 at the invitation of President Bejhi Caid Essebsi.
