Abir Moussi calls for dissolution of parliament

President of the Free Destourian Party (PDL) Abir Moussi, Sunday, called for speeding up the dissolution of Parliament and organising “democratic” and “fair” legislative elections which would establish “legitimate” constitutional bodies.

Moussi said President Kais Saied is against holding “democratic” elections. «He simply wants to buy time to serve his political agenda, relying on parachuted texts and decisions.»

At a meeting held Sunday in Sfax, Moussi added that “nothing proves that there will be elections next December 17 as there are no preparations, or a clear and precise timetable, or a budget allocated to these polls.»

The president of the PDL harshly criticised the way the State is run , adding that it is “arbitrary and anarchic” and resembles that of “the Caliphate”.

Such vision only exacerbates the economic and social crisis in the country and will promote the rise of the “Muslim Brotherhood” in Tunisia, she warned.
