ACCRA: Mr. Abu Kansangbata, a former Deputy Upper West Regional Minister, has donated essential building materials to the Wa West District Director of Health, whose house and vehicle were recently destroyed in a fire. The donation aims to assist in the reconstruction of her home and support her during this challenging period. According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Kansangbata, speaking in Accra on Friday, expressed his motivation for the donation by stating, "As a former Deputy Minister, I felt compelled to support her in this difficult time." The items he contributed include 15 bags of cement, two trips of sand, two packets of roofing sheets, and an undisclosed monetary amount intended to aid in the rebuilding efforts. Mr. Kansangbata further emphasized the importance of community solidarity, highlighting that, "Together, we stand in solidarity to support those who dedicate their lives to serving our communities." His gesture stems from his past working relationship with the District Health Director when he s erved as Deputy Regional Minister and District Chief Executive of the then Nadowli District. Mrs. Cecilia Kakraba, the Wa West District Director of Health, expressed her gratitude upon receiving the donation. She acknowledged the outpouring of consolation and support from the community, stating, "With more support from the community, we will rise again."
