The accommodation capacity of open and closed spaces will be raised to 100% and 75%, respectively, starting March 1, Ministry of Trade and Export Development said.

The Ministry stressed in a press release issued Sunday the need to present the vaccination pass, mask wearing and ventilation of the spaces mentioned above.

As for bars, cafes and teashops, the department announced a set of measures including the respect of a 2.5 meters distance between tables and a one meter distance between customers, in addition to the ventilation of premises before and during the service.

The same measures were decided for unclassified restaurants and fast-foods, as the Ministry pointed out the need to respect a 2.5-metre distance between tables and a one-metre distance between customers, especially for self-service restaurants, while forbidding children under 12 years of age to serve themselves.

The number of displays in the buffets should be increased and distributed in such a way as to avoid overcrowding, the waiters should be in charge of distributing the plates, the duration of service should be extended to avoid overcrowding, and a sufficient number of menu cards should be provided, while ensuring that they are disinfected after each use.

Regarding exhibitions and trade events, the ministry called for dedicating entrance and exit gates to exhibitions, presenting the vaccination pass, wearing masks, making alcohol-based disinfectant gel available, respecting social distancing inside the halls and cleaning and disinfecting exhibition stands daily during the exhibition days.

The department also called to deploy staff in these exhibitions to check the compliance with the health protocol and underlined the possible exclusion of any exhibitor or any visitor of the exhibition who does not comply with the health protocol provisions.
