Dzegede criticized the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) for failing to fulfill its mandate, stating that the lack of potable water is placing an economic burden on residents who are forced to purchase water from alternative sources. He warned of potential health and sanitation repercussions as some residents resort to using unclean water. The VDF identified issues with the pump capacity at the water head in Kpeve as a contributing factor to the crisis. The organization called for immediate government investment and action by GWCL to alleviate the residents' hardships. Among their proposals is a stakeholder dialogue aimed at finding a lasting solution to the water shortage, which they say is critical to the socio-economic well-being of the people in Ho. Dzegede emphasized the need for swift intervention, describing the situatio n as "wretched and inhumane" and underscored the urgency for GWCL to ensure a consistent water supply. The VDF's call to action reflects the growing frustration and desperation among the residents who continue to grapple with the water crisis. However, there has been no official response from GWCL regarding the situation.
