Ada east: The Ada East District Office of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has successfully organised the 2025 edition of its annual inter-school quiz competition focused on the 1992 Constitution for basic schools in the Kasseh Zone.

According to Ghana News Agency, the competition took place at the Pentecost Church Auditorium in Kasseh and saw participation from four schools, comprising two public and two private institutions. The event aimed to test the students' understanding of Ghana's 1992 Constitution, thereby fostering civic awareness among the youth.

The quiz is part of the NCCE's flagship civic education programme, designed to reinforce Civic Education Clubs in schools and motivate students to actively engage with the Constitution. Madam Faustina Blewusi, the Ada East District Director of NCCE, also known as Mama Magbenya II, expressed that the competition seeks to empower students to learn, defend, and uphold the Constitution.

Bedeku D/A Junior High School emerged victorious in the closely contested quiz with 59 points. They were followed by Kasseh No. 2 JHS with 40 points, Pentecost Preparatory School with 35 points, and Ade School Complex with 27 points. Madam Blewusi emphasized that the focus of the programme was not solely on the winners and losers but on the knowledge gained, stating, "Every student here is a winner for deepening their understanding of the Constitution."

She extended her gratitude to the NCCE headquarters for their support and guidance, and acknowledged Madam Comfort Doeyo Cudjoe, the Member of Parliament for Ada Constituency, for sponsoring the prizes, trophies, and refreshments. Additionally, she praised the district NCCE staff for their dedication and teamwork and thanked Pentecost Preparatory School for providing the auditorium for the competition.
