Accra: An Accra High Court has directed prosecutors in the trial of ex-National Signals Bureau chief Kwabena Adu-Boahene to submit and serve all witness statements and disclosures by May 20. Adu-Boahene, who was previously remanded in EOCO custody, will now remain on his existing bail of GH?80 million with two sureties, one to be justified.

According to Ghana News Agency, Adu-Boahene, along with his wife and two others, faces 11 charges including stealing, money laundering of GH?49.1 million in state funds, willfully causing financial loss to the state, conspiracy, and abuse of public office. All have pleaded not guilty. Adu-Boahene's wife and the other accused will also remain on their current bail terms.

Presiding Judge John Eugene Nyadu Nyante urged both sides to expedite proceedings to uphold the rights of all parties. Defense counsel Samuel Atta Akyea noted that Adu-Boahene's detention went past midnight before his release. He added that Adu-Boahene was rearrested in connection with another case not before the current court.

Other accused individuals include Mildred Donkor, a former banker, and Advantage Solutions Limited. The case has been adjourned to May 26 for a Case Management Conference.
