### Adventist Cooperative Fund Aids Needy with Healthcare Support

Accra: The Adventist Heritage Cooperative Fund (AHCoF) has made a significant contribution to the Seventh Day Adventist Hospital in Gbawe, Accra, in a bid to support healthcare for the needy. The donation, which includes a GHc 40,000 theatre bed and a cheque for GHc 10,000, aims to cover medical bills for patients unable to afford them. Elizabeth Kusi Nsiah, CEO of AHCoF, emphasized the importance of providing access to quality healthcare for all, drawing parallels to the healing mission of Jesus. According to Ghana News Agency, Mrs. Nsiah highlighted the organization's commitment to social responsibility, noting that the support for the Gbawe community is an annual initiative. The theatre bed, she explained, is expected to improve surgical conditions at the facility, while the financial aid will help discharged patients with outstanding bills return home to their families. Dr. Hannah Konadu Adu, the Medical Director of SDA Hospital, expressed gratitude for the donation, noting its timeliness. For some time , the hospital had struggled with a broken surgery bed, which required frequent repairs. Dr. Adu stated that the donation was an answer to their prayers, allowing the hospital to prioritize the theatre bed as a much-needed resource. The Adventist Heritage Cooperative Fund, established by the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ghana, operates as a self-help organization. It provides financial support to members through pooled funds from monthly contributions and offers low-interest loans. This initiative underscores the organization's dedication to enhancing healthcare access for underserved communities.
