Afek Tounes says resigning members froze membership since party pulled out of coalition

There are no party leaders among those who quit Afek Tounes (Tunis II constituency), Spokesperson Zihed Zgueb Monday told TAP.

“The resigning members had frozen their membership since Afek Tounes left the government,” he said. They had not helped with the composition of candidate lists for the upcoming municipal elections.

Media reports according to which resignations would have been tendered on grounds of “monopoly of decision making and poor management” are unfounded, Zgueb further said.
