Cape town: The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) is pleased to announce the finalists for its 2026 AWIEF Awards. Launched in 2017, the AWIEF Awards is an annual initiative recognizing women entrepreneurs and business owners in Africa for their contributions to economic growth and social development.

According to African Press Organization, the finalists represent a range of sectors and African markets, highlighting the talent and impact emerging across the continent. The 2026 Awards categories have been updated to reflect Africa's evolving entrepreneurial landscape, with categories such as emerging leaders, tech pioneers, agricultural innovators, and creative visionaries.

This year introduces the Male Ally Award, acknowledging a male leader whose actions have advanced women's economic empowerment in Africa. The finalists for the 2026 AWIEF Awards, listed in alphabetical order, include notable names in various categories such as the Woman to Watch Award and Impact for Good Award.

The 2026 AWIEF Awards winners will be unveiled at a ceremony and gala dinner on 11 November 2026, concluding the AWIEF 2026 Conference. The conference, held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, will gather women entrepreneurs, business leaders, investors, and policymakers from across Africa and beyond.

The Awards Gala will celebrate the finalists and winners, recognizing those shaping a more inclusive and prosperous economic future for Africa.
