The national women’s handball team qualified for the semi-finals of the African Women’s Handball Championship (Cameroon-2021) after beating their Guinean counterpart 27-20 (half-time: 15-7), at a quarter-final match played Tuesday in Yaounde.
With this qualification, the Tunisian women team have booked their ticked for the 2021 World Championship, scheduled for next December in Spain.
The Tunisians had already defeated the Guineans in the group stage (30-27).
In addition, the Angolan team booked their ticket for the semi-finals after defeating DR Congo (29-20).
The other quarter final games will pit Congo against Senegal and Cameroon against Nigeria.
