Three suspects were arrested in Agadir, including the main suspect who was caught in the Iligh area, on the basis of a national search notice for international drug trafficking, said National Police (DGSN) in a statement, adding that coordination with elements of the territorially competent Royal Gendarmerie made it possible to arrest a fourth suspect in the Taghazout area, 30 km north of Agadir.

Search operations carried out in a house used by the suspects in Taghazout made it possible to arrest three would-be illegal immigrants, in addition to the seizure of two tons of cannabis resin, an inflatable boat, in addition to maritime navigation equipment, the source pointed out.

The suspects were taken into custody pending the end of investigations led under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office.
