Cape Coast: Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion Senior High School in Cape Coast will inaugurate its 85th anniversary celebrations on Saturday, November 2, 2024. The launch will serve as the centerpiece of a Special Homecoming event designed for all alumni of the school, widely known as AMOSA. The celebration carries the theme 'Building on 85 Years of Quality Education: The Role of Stakeholders.' According to Ghana News Agency, the event will be hosted by the school's Headmistress, Mrs. Dorothy Adentwi-Hayford, and chaired by Professor Victor Kweku Bondze Micahh. The keynote address will be delivered by Mrs. Rita Ohene Sarfoh, a former Girls' Senior Prefect of the school and currently the Director of Policy, Planning, and Budgeting at the Ministry of Roads and Highways. The festivities will kick off on Friday, November 1, 2024, with a variety show aimed at welcoming back former students. This will be followed by a lecture series titled "AMOSA Inspires," featuring accomplished alumni who will speak to current studen ts about achieving career success. Notable speakers include Professor Sam Ekow Quainoo, Chairman of the Department of Political Science and Economics at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, USA; Hiram Laud Anderson, a software developer and systems analyst; Justice Otoo, a creative entrepreneur and Chief Operations Officer of RIEPCO; and Lyssiemay Annoh, who works in Corporate and Investment Banking at Societe Generale. The event will also include an Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday afternoon. The evening will offer a casual hangout on campus and will conclude with a thanksgiving service for all alumni on Sunday, November 3, 2024.
