Agreement concluded between Tunisia and Switzerland in social welfare, enters into force

The social welfare agreement concluded between Tunisia and Switzerland has entered into force on October 1, reads a National Fund for Pensions and Social Welfare (CNRPS) press release issued Sunday.

The agreement coordinates both countries’ social welfare systems in the old age, death and disability fields and regulates the payment of pensions abroad.

It further governs the relations between Tunisia and Switzerland in terms of social welfare and covers old age and disability benefits.

The agreement also provides insured persons with broad equality of treatment and easier access to benefits and allows for the payment of pensions abroad.

This agreement, which is added to the 19 previously ones concluded between Tunisia and Switzerland, promotes trade between both countries and voids double subjugations by facilitating staff secondment in the other country.
