Al-Joumhouri party called for the organisation of an “inclusive national dialogue” and the formation of a national salvation government.

“The authority of July 25” has failed to address the crisis at all levels and to curb prices, corruption and speculation, the party said in a statement issued Sunday at the end of its political meeting.

Furthermore, the party regrets the lack of a vision to mobilise State resources and boost the national economy’s engines.

While calling for the organisation of an “inclusive national dialogue as a unique opportunity for a way out of the current crisis,” Al-Joumhouri reiterates support for the initiative of the social-democratic parties’ coordination.

There is need to step up consultations and create a political climate conducive to the launch of this dialogue and form a national salvation government, it considered.

The party also deems it necessary to ensure the resumption of the constitutional process, agree on urgent political reforms and organise general elections according to a clear roadmap.

Al-Joumhouri warned against the concentration of power in the President of the Republic’s hands and the nominations in the administration based on loyalty to him.
