Al-Mahaba claims immediate revision of natural resource production contracts with foreign countries

Al-Mahaba current organised a rally on Saturday afternoon in front of the Tunis Municipal Theater, calling for “an immediate review of oil, gas, cement, salt and phosphate contracts with foreign countries”.

“These contracts do not serve the economic interests of the country,” said “Al-Mahaba”, describing it imperative to impose the sovereignty of the state on its natural wealth far from foreign interference.

Party supporters chanted slogans calling for boycotting municipal elections and punishing the political class for its failure in power.

This rally coincides with the 9th anniversary of the creation on March 3, 2011, of the Al-Mahaba current that was previously called, running the popular petition “Al-Aridha”.

According to Nizar Nsibi, a member of the party’s political bureau, Al-Mahaba National Council will meet tomorrow Sunday to discuss the party’s programme, recalling that the party is boycotting the municipal elections.
