Accra: Mrs Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi Central, has fully sponsored over 85 young men and women in the constituency to participate in a work abroad screening exercise. The exercise is intended to provide these youths with opportunities for employment overseas and equip them with valuable skills to support their families and communities.
According to Ghana News Agency, this initiative is a demonstration of the MP's commitment to youth employment and development-driven leadership within the constituency. Mrs. Cudjoe has also extended her efforts in youth empowerment through educational and digital support. She has assisted students in tertiary education by providing them with 10GB of data and a sum of GHC 200 to aid their research work.
Mrs. Cudjoe stated that the initiative has already positively impacted the lives of over 400 youths in Amenfi Central, emphasizing that education is the backbone of development. She pledged her continued commitment to creating opportunities that will prepare the youth for future development.
The MP encouraged the youth to remain committed to their aspirations and to build their future with determination. The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the MP's gesture, describing it as a significant move against youth unemployment and a practical step toward opening doors for the younger generation.
