Annivesary of Revolution:LTDH denounces “restrictions imposed by Interior Ministry on protesters’ travel”

The Tunisian League for the Defence of Human Rights (LTDH), on Monday, denounced the “restrictions” imposed by the Ministry of Interior on the travel to the capital of citizens, including those of interior regions, by preventing them from reaching the capital to participate in rallies held on the anniversary of the January 14 Revolution.

The LTDH said the authorities have banned two buses from Monastir and Bizerte to join Tunis and several cars were barred at the Hergla and Mornag tolls.

The LTDH also denounced the closure of most of the accesses leading to the Avenue Habib Bourguiba of Tunis so as to prevent many citizens from joining the places of rallies. “These practices are a violation of the rights of movement and peaceful demonstration,” it pointed out.
