APIA approves 477.2 MD of investment declarations up to October

The Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA) approved up to 3,424 investment declarations at 477.2 million dinars (MD) in the 1st ten months of 2017, i.e. a 3.6% drop in number and a 2.8% increase in value.

These investments will help create 4,067 permanent jobs.

Investments declared to APIA services reached 8,263 worth 1,406.4 MD till the end of October.

Investments of the Agricultural Promotion and Development Companies (SMVDA) edged up to 29.6MD against 22.9MD in the same period in 2016.

According to APIA, this increase is due to the fact that 11 beneficiaries of State farms obtained decisions of allocation of benefits worth 21.8MD.

The investments with foreign participation reached 24MD against 17.4MD in the same period last year. They are greenhouse and geothermal cultivations and olive tree cultivation and breeding.

Investments in oil mills also climbed to 26.3MD.
