Appeal chambers of Administrative Court rule on candidate submission disputes

The appeal chambers of the Administrative Court, on Friday, ruled on candidate submission cases for the election of the House of People’s Representatives on December 17, said spokesperson for the Court Imed Ghabri.

The appeal chambers have approved the submissions of two files among the 15 received for examination in appeal, he added.

The appeal chambers issued 6 rulings confirming the decisions of the first instance chambers and 4 others rejecting the first instance rulings in this matter.

They also rejected the appeals filed to this effect and handed down 4 rulings dismissing the appeals on the grounds of form.

They upheld one judgment approving the first instance ruling by giving new legal and factual grounds.

The number of approved candidate submissions by the appeal chambers in electoral disputes would therefore be two, the same source concluded.
