Arab Summit Commends HM the King’s Ongoing Efforts to Defend Al-Quds

In the resolution adopted on the developments of the Palestinian cause, the Arab Summit welcomed the projects carried out by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, the executive arm of the Committee, under the direct supervision of HM the King, to support the struggle of the Maqdessis.

The resolution also welcomed the payment by Morocco of its financial contribution to the Al Aqsa and Al-Quds Funds.

On the other hand, the Summit expressed its support for the Al-Quds Committee chaired by HM the King as well as its role and actions of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency for the Maqdessis.

In this sense, the report of the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Abu El Gheit, on joint Arab action, submitted to the Summit, highlighted the importance of the agreements signed, on September 11, by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency to sponsor ten schools in the Holy City, as well as the emergency medical and humanitarian aid provided by the Kingdom, upon High Royal Instructions, to the Palestinian population in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

The report also commended the direct mediation efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, and the United States of America, which led to an agreement on the permanent opening of the Allenby/King Hussein Bridge linking the West Bank to Jordan, the only outlet for Palestinians to the world.

The efforts of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency in protecting Arab and Islamic rights in the Holy City have also resulted in the support and funding of programs and projects, particularly in the social fields of health, education and housing, which have made a tangible contribution to the improvement of the living conditions of Palestinians and the preservation of the Holy City’s religious and civilizational heritage.

The last of these projects were launched by the Agency last September for over one million dollars financed by Morocco.

These projects are part of the continuation by the Agency, for which Morocco covers nearly 86% of its annual budget, of its social programs in support of Al-Quds and its population, in implementation of the High Instructions of HM King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee.
