Secretary-General Secretary of the General Confederation of Tunisian Workers (CGTT), Habib Guiza, on Monday, presented to speaker of the Assembly of People’s Representatives (ARP), Brahim Bouderbala, the initiative the CGTT intends to launch on Labour Day.
This initiative aims to contribute to improving the economic and social situation in the country.
According to a press release from the ARP, the initiative focuses on respecting freedoms and enhancing the performance of public utilities, as well as improving their services and diversifying Tunisia’s economic relations.
The speaker of the ARP said that general and party freedoms are among the gains achieved after the revolution and that it is imperative to preserve and consolidate them in the service of the country’s supreme interest.
The freedom of trade union work must be used to present constructive proposals in the service of the country, he added.
