Asante Gold Corporation Commissions Kindergarten Facilities in Western North Region

PABOASE: The Chirano Gold Mines Limited, a subsidiary of Asante Gold Corporation, has inaugurated modern Kindergarten facilities for the Paboase and Aboduabo communities in Ghana's Western North Region. The project, funded by the Chirano Sefwiman Foundation, aims to enhance early childhood education in the Wiawso and Bibiani Anwhiaso Bekwai municipalities. According to Ghana News Agency, the facilities were unveiled as part of a broader initiative by the foundation to promote education and community well-being. Stephen Asante Yamoah, the General Manager of Chirano Gold Mines, highlighted the importance of the project, stating that it marks a new chapter in early childhood development, which is crucial for shaping future leaders. Each project was constructed at a cost of GHC482,000 and is part of the company's commitment to empowering local communities. Yamoah expressed hope that children benefiting from these facilities would eventually take advantage of the company's scholarship scheme to pursue higher edu cation. He acknowledged the collaboration with traditional authorities and community members in successfully completing the school blocks and urged local leaders to maintain the facilities for future generations. Dindiok Chialin, the Board Chairman of the Chirano Sefwiman Foundation, reiterated the foundation's commitment to investing in children's education as a means of securing the future of the communities. He emphasized the role of parents, teachers, and leaders in actively participating in the educational process to ensure the children's success. Nana Frimpong Mason, the Chief of Paboase, expressed gratitude on behalf of the communities, acknowledging the company's ongoing support and its contribution to local development projects.
