Ashaiman: The Ashaiman Circuit Court has remanded into police custody four individuals following their arrest for the possession of 315 compressed parcels suspected to be Indian hemp. The court's decision also included an order to impound the truck, with registration number GN 7291-16, which was used to conceal the illegal substance, pending further notice.
According to Ghana News Agency, the four accused-Nura Sali, 44; Pius Chukwuma, 49; Mustapha Umar, 18; and Abdulai Amayau, 23-have been instructed to reappear before the court on Tuesday, 30th September 2025. The arrests were made on Monday, September 8, 2025, after a tip-off led authorities to intercept and impound the truck during the operation.
