Asogli State to Mark Anti-Corruption Day with Integrity Call

Accra: The Asogli State will observe Anti-Corruption Day on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, with a call for integrity, transparency, and accountability as part of activities marking the 2025 Asogli Te Za. The event will take place at the forecourt of the Asogli State in Ho, under the theme: ‘Together for Peace, Unity and Development through Integrity and Fairness.’

According to Ghana News Agency, Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, will host the dialogue, urging citizens, leaders, and institutions to reject corruption in all its forms. Mr. Franklin Cudjoe, President of IMANI Africa, will deliver the keynote address, focusing on the impact of corruption on Ghana’s democracy and economic growth.

Organisers of the event aim to reaffirm commitment to good governance and national values through symbolic activities such as candle lighting and peace recitals by schoolchildren, highlighting the role of integrity in fostering a just society. The event will see participation from civil society organisations, faith-based groups, youth associations, and the general public.

A statement from the planning committee emphasized, “This commemoration will remind us that corruption is a threat to our unity and progress. Together, we will safeguard our future by embracing accountability.” The Asogli State stressed the necessity of collective responsibility in the fight against corruption and encouraged citizens to demand transparency across all sectors.

The Anti-Corruption Day commemoration will set the stage for other events planned as part of the 2025 Asogli Te Za.
