Aspirations for decent life cannot be met without equitable administration of justice (Saïed)

President Kaïs Saïed met Friday in Carthage with Premier Najla Bouden, Interior Minister Taoufik Charfeddine and Justice Minister Leïla Jaffel. The state of affairs in the country took centre stage.

The Head of State said there is need to provide basic commodities to citizens. The socio-economic challenge is the biggest, he addded.

“Price hikes, shortages in basic commodities, triggering crises and attempts now known by all can no longer continue,” Saïed was quoted as saying in a Presidency press release.

The President said it is imperative to ensure equality under the law. The State apparatus and the judiciary have a key role to play herein.

The aspirations of Tunisians for a decent life cannot be met without the equitable and impartial administration of justice, further reads the press release.
