Akatsi: Mr. Patrick Escu Xormenyo Agboyibor, the aspiring Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Akatsi South Constituency, in the Volta Region, has demonstrated his commitment to education by making a generous donation to his Alma-Mater, Akatsico Practice Cluster of Schools. The donation includes plastic chairs and an undisclosed amount of money to support teaching and learning.

According to Ghana News Agency, these donations were made following a request by the school authorities for assistance with seating materials for the school lab to improve teaching and learning. Mr. Agboyibor explained that he had previously donated a projector and an undisclosed amount of money to the school, which demonstrated his long-standing commitment to enhancing the standard of education in the school.

Mr. Agboyibor emphasized that this gesture reflects his desire to foster progress not only among NPP members but also the wider communities in the Akatsi South Constituency. He expressed hope that these donations would positively impact the community, particularly in education, by improving the school's output results.

Mr. Agboyibor noted that the school's appeal for further support underscored the need for stakeholder involvement to address the school's remaining facility challenges. He urged other alumni and philanthropists to help resolve pressing issues.

Mr. Michael Afawubo, the Headteacher of the school, received the donations on behalf of the staff and students and expressed gratitude for Mr. Agboyibor's generosity. He appealed to stakeholders and community members for further support to address the school's remaining facility needs.

Mr. Afawubo highlighted that Mr. Agboyibor's actions demonstrated leadership by example and set a positive precedent for others to follow for the betterment of society. He assured that the donated items would be used appropriately and called on the government, alumni, philanthropists, and corporate organizations to help address other challenges, such as inadequate toilet facilities and sports equipment.

The donation is expected to have a positive impact on the school and the community.
