Tegbi-Ashiata: Mr. Ephraim Dodzi Jumper, the Assembly member for Tegbi-Ashiata Electoral Area, has initiated several development projects aimed at improving the living conditions of his constituents. These projects include road improvements and the construction of a new trading area for local fisherfolk. According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Jumper's commitment to these projects stems from promises made during his campaign in the lead-up to the District Assembly Elections in December 2023. One significant project is the improvement of a one-and-a-half-kilometre road with laterite, which connects Toviame to the Ashiata road. This road is crucial for local farmers and fisherfolk who need better transportation options for their goods to nearby markets. The funding for this project was sourced from the proceeds of the Tegbi Dututudoza festival held in April, along with contributions from other local benefactors. Additionally, Mr. Jumper has overseen the construction of a shed complete with garden seats at Bliboko rfe Torkor. This new structure is designed to serve as a landing beach and trading point, enhancing the daily operations of fishermen and fish buyers in the area. In an interview, Mr. Jumper expressed his dedication to his role and the well-being of his community. "As a leader, my utmost responsibility is to make life bearable for my people, these projects are just the beginning of all the good things I would do as a servant leader. Keep giving me the necessary support and encouragement, I am open to any form of criticism to make Ashiata great," he stated. He also took the opportunity to thank the community members who have supported these initiatives and encouraged more people to contribute. Looking ahead, Mr. Jumper has reaffirmed his commitment to continue a previously started school uniform project. This initiative funds the production of school uniforms for students at Tegbi Ashiata D/A Basic School and Tegbi EP Basic School, further supporting the local education system.
