Assin Fosu Residents Participate in Peace Walk Ahead of December Elections

ASSIN FOSU: In a bid to promote peace and unity ahead of the upcoming December polls, the Rab Touching Lives Foundation (RTLF) and the Lost Talent Foundation (LTF) organized a peace walk in the Assin Fosu Municipality of the Central Region. The event aimed to sensitize residents on the importance of maintaining peace during the electoral process. According to Ghana News Agency, the peace walk, themed 'Sustaining peace before, during and after elections,' attracted nearly 500 participants. The crowd included representatives from political parties, community and traditional leaders, youth groups, and security personnel. Participants carried placards with messages such as 'Peace is our priority,' 'One Ghana, One People,' and 'Say no to violence.' Mr. Richard Adjei Sarpong, project and programmes manager at RTLF, addressed the gathering after the walk. He emphasized the vital role of peace in national development and urged the youth and the populace to remain committed to ensuring a peaceful election. Mr. Sarpo ng highlighted that Assin Fosu exemplifies peaceful coexistence and serves as a model for building a prosperous and harmonious society in Ghana as the nation prepares for the December elections.
