Accra: A fire erupted at a factory in Egypt’s Nile Delta city of al-Mahalla al-Kubra, leaving 11 people dead, local authorities said. The incident has caused significant damage and affected numerous individuals.
According to Ghana News Agency, the blaze, which resulted in the partial collapse of the textile dye factory, injured 33 others. A search for possible survivors was ongoing as emergency services worked tirelessly at the scene.
It is not known what caused the blaze. However, privately owned newspaper al-Shorouk reported that the fire had been sparked by an electric failure.
