ATIDE deems it necessary to modify electoral law in light of “dangerous” violations during legislative elections

(TAP) – President of the Tunisian Association for Integrity and Democracy (ATIDE) Bassem Maâtar said on Saturday evening that the violations observed during the legislative elections are almost “dangerous,” which requires changes to the electoral law.

On the sidelines of the 4th press briefing, Maâtar indicated that observers witnessed the remarkable absence of young people during the voting operation.

He also pointed to attempts to influence voters either in polling stations and centres or in their surroundings, denouncing the violation of electoral silence in many polling centres and their surroundings.
