Attack against mosque in Sinai: Caid Essebsi sends message of condolence to his Egyptian counterpart

President Beji CaA�d Essebsi, sent a message of condolence Friday evening to his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, following the attack on a mosque in northern Sinai.

At least 235 people were killed and 109 wounded in a bomb blast this Friday against a mosque in northern Sinai, Egypt, according to a new report provided by Egyptian national television.

In this message, President CaA�d Essebsi expressed dismay at the terrorist attack and expressed, on his behalf and on behalf of the Tunisian people, full solidarity and sincere compassion.

Tunisia, he said, stands with Egypt in this painful ordeal and supports any action that will be taken by the Egyptian government to preserve the security of its citizens.

“Tunisia supports Egypt in its fight against terrorism,” he reiterated, quoted in the text of the message.

Besides, the President of the Republic called on the international community to work towards the establishment of effective mechanisms to combat the scourge of terrorism and avoid its consequences.
