B to B meetings between Tunisian and Dutch companies specialising in denim and workwear

B to B meetings between Tunisian companies and Dutch buyers specialised in denim and workwear were organised on Tuesday, as part of the project of Support to the Competitiveness of the Values Chain of the Textile-Clothing Sector ” COMTEXHA ”, said the Export Promotion Centre (CEPEX) in a statement issued Wednesday in Tunis.

These meetings organised at the initiative of the CEPEX through its office in Rotterdam, in collaboration with the International Trade Center (ITC) aim to strengthen the competitiveness of the textile-clothing sector in Tunisia.

This action was enhanced by the participation of 12 successful companies in the two sectors (3 companies in workwear and 9 companies in the denim sector).

Textile-clothing is a key sector for the Tunisian economy. Indeed, Tunisia is one of the top 10 EU supplier countries, accounting for more than 95% of its exports. The Netherlands is the 6th largest clothing import market in the EU.

On this occasion, three lectures were presented on the importance of the evolution of market demand in the Netherlands and the opportunities it offers as well as on fashion trends in the market.

A visit was made to the Denim City Center, a concept bringing together professionals, designers, developers of fabric solutions as well as training centres in textile skills.
