Bawa Fuseini Takes Charge as Acting Director of National Sports College, Winneba

Winneba: Mr. Fuseini Bawa, currently serving as the President of Ghana Athletics (GA), has been appointed the Acting Director of the National Sports College in Winneba. He steps into the role previously held by Mr. Noah Bukari, who retired on October 9 after four years of service. Mr. Bawa becomes the 12th Director since the institution's inception in 1984. According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Bawa expressed his enthusiasm during a management meeting on Tuesday about his new role. He highlighted his commitment to work collaboratively with the staff to enhance sports education and development in Ghana. 'This duty comes with a responsibility,' he stated, affirming his readiness to uphold the mandate of the College. The National Sports College was established with the objective to boost the capacity of sports-related technical human resources through training and retraining. The institution also focuses on conducting sports-related research, organizing workshops, and providing facilities for camping for Ghanaia n local and national teams. Additionally, it plays a crucial role in identifying potential sports talents across the country.
