The number of infections by the British variant of the coronavirus has reached 46 cases in the governorate of Beja, according to the latest statistics of the Regional Health Directorate.
With more than 100 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, 7 delegations are classified at a “high” risk level, namely Testour, Nefza, Beja-North, Beja-South, Amdoun, Thibar, and Tébousouk, according to the same source.
Besides, 2 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded in the region over the last 48 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities to 217 people.
Additionally, 64 more positive cases of the coronavirus were discovered during the same period, bringing the total number of infected cases to 7,052 since the outbreak of the pandemic.
