Sunyani: Bishop Dr Richard Owusu Akyeaw, the Founder of the Living Grace Ministries International, has urged Ghanaians to prioritize their health by undertaking consistent medical check-ups. He emphasized the importance of regular medical examinations as a means to ensure health and facilitate the early detection of health problems.
According to Ghana News Agency, Bishop Akyeaw shared this advice during the 2025 Annual Convention of the Church held at Fiapre in the Sunyani West Municipality. The convention, themed ‘kingdom revolution’, was attended by pastors from various branches of the church across the nation. He urged Christians specifically to be mindful of their health and overall well-being and to seek medical care whenever necessary.
Bishop Akyeaw noted that many people pride themselves on not visiting health facilities for years, comparing them to the living dead due to their neglect of health. He emphasized that regular medical check-ups are vital for ensuring one’s health and wellbeing. To support this initiative, the Living Grace Church has invested in building health clinics on its premises to provide easy access to healthcare services for both members and the broader community.
He specifically advised church members, especially those over the age of 30, to visit the clinic during service to monitor their health status. Highlighting the significance of early detection and treatment, he stated that these actions could prevent many unnecessary deaths and enable individuals to identify potential health risks and take proactive measures.
Bishop Akyeaw concluded by stressing the importance of good health for worshiping God and fulfilling one’s life purpose, urging everyone to prioritize their health as a precious gift from God. By taking care of their bodies, individuals can live a life that honors God.
