Bizerte in spotlight at 13th edition of TAP’s “Zoom on Regions” programme

Bizerte governorate is playing host, from June 14 to 19, to the 13th edition of the “Zoom on Regions” programme, organised by TAP news agency, in co-operation with the Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS).
TAP reporters will focus on issues related to local development and craft, natural resources and archaeological sites, in addition to ecological issues in relation to maritime environment.
At the opening of the six-day session, Director of TAP External Relations Department Chaouki Aloui stressed the importance of the “Zoom on Regions” experience in diversifying the local press product, highlighting the role of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in supporting this programme.
KAS Resident Representative Holger Dix, for his part, commended the importance of the programme in both substance and energy, hailing the agency’s commitment and professionalism.
He emphasised the importance of the partnership between TAP and his institution, particularly in relation to these field visits as part of the Zoom on regions programme.
The group composed of ten members, including six journalists, were received at the opening day by Governor Mohamed Gouider. He briefed them on development projects and programmes conducted in the region, as well as others that are planned and ongoing.
Gouider pledged to assist the reporters in their mission and ease access to information.
The Zoom on regions programme has covered 12 governorates so far and will continue elsewhere; it promotes an approach centered around in-depth coverage of local issues.
