Boeing Certified Maintainance and Training Centre to be operational by end of 2018 (Express Air Cargo)

Construction works of a Boeing Certified Maintenance and Training Centre (Express Air Technique) will be kicked off in March 2018 by the Express Air Cargo and will be operational by the end of the year, Express Air Cargo CEO Anis Riahi told TAP.

Taking the floor at a press conference on Tuesday in Tunis, Riahi pointed out that the totally-exporting centre is worth a total investment of 90MD. Its activities will be complementary to those of Express Air Cargo as the centre will deliver aircraft spare parts to African countries thanks to the freighter’s network.

The centre will start activities with 200 to 220 engineers, reaching 450 engineers based on growth. Thirty 30 engineers in aeronautics now being trained, have already been recruited.

Riahi recalled that the construction of the centre is in implementation of the agreement inked on July 12, 2017, with the American aircraft manufacturer during Prime Minister Youssef Chahed’s visit to Washington.
